My husband and I planned to stimulate the economy and use our stimulus check as part of a down payment on a new(er) car but my old car still has some life yet (knock wood) so we may just hold on to our money for a while. Methinks that George W's plan is not going to work all that well. It is going to take a whole lot more than just one check to stimulate our economy. The U.S. needs some good jobs for people! Something with some staying power and affordable healthcare. If we don't have good paying jobs we might as well go socialist and send out checks monthly and give everyone free healthcare.
